Job Description :
LOCATION
• Albany, NY
The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for helping to insure the quality of software products, including the communication, documentation and processes associated with these efforts.
The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for the development and execution of quality processes, test plans and test cases and communicating test results.
Responsibilities
• Analyze and test requirements on a project by project basis
• Continual Maintenance on Testing Environment Variables
• Writing of test plans and test cases for development and execution using project requirements
• Risk analysis and support for seamless product release
• Trouble Shooting problems with in the testing environment that may impact product stability
• Contributing to software engineering process improvement efforts across the business
Qualifications/Requirements
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent is highly desired
• Strong Technical Skills including evaluation of project flow diagrams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Desire to put together quality products
Experience
• One or more high level programming languages i.e. C++, Java
• Experience troubleshooting program crashes and failures
• Knowledge and experience working with SQL statements and programming
• Working knowledge of XML and HTML
• Industry best practices for requirements and testing
• Experience working in a highly dynamic atmosphere, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work within challenging time frames
Additional Desired Experience:
• Experience with Selenium or any other automated testing tool
• Experience with XPATH and understanding of EDI
• Knowledge of programming inheritance
